Occasional Childcare

Chelsea Occasional Childcare

If you’re after flexible, affordable and quality childcare Chelsea Occasional Childcare can help.

This centre was formed by mothers for families over 30 years ago, created for the sole purpose of offering support to families needing occasional childcare in a safe and fun environment.
Bookings are made by you in advance or on the day (when available).  And being a mixed aged room, siblings can stay and play together.   We boast a community connection which you don’t get from most childcare centres; it’s a great way to meet other local families and form new friendships.  We are a not for profit community run child care centre with qualified staff, it is unique and much loved by children and parents alike.

Our centre is a wonderful place for children to receive access to quality early education in a fun and safe environment. We have a huge selection of activities and great facilities. Our back garden is a huge hit with all the children; we have a sandpit, swings, cubby house and large wooden play structure with a very popular slide!  We also have a huge selection of outdoor toys and climbing equipment that is also rotated. The centre follows the Early Learning Years Framework and parents are able to see the outcomes on our program board to see what activities and fun the children have been up to each week.  We have age specific areas both inside and outside which ensure young minds are kept stimulated. We are strong believers in encouraging learning through play and we have plenty of equipment which is rotated on a regular basis.

The centre has families from Chelsea, Chelsea Heights, Bonbeach, Edithvale, Seaford, Carrum, Patterson Lakes and Frankston to name a few. If you lack support from family members locally or are new to the area, the centre is a great way to integrate with the local community – we are a very friendly bunch.
